CPR & First Aid

Al-Madinah School – Queens is committed to maintaining appropriate emergency preparedness and promoting the safety of students and staff.

The school encourages designated staff members to maintain current CPR and First Aid training and certification as appropriate to their responsibilities.

Staff members with CPR and First Aid certification may assist during emergency situations within the scope of their training while emergency medical assistance is contacted when necessary.

The school maintains procedures for responding to:

• Student injuries.
• Medical emergencies.
• Allergic reactions.
• Breathing emergencies.
• Falls or accidents.
• Other situations requiring immediate first aid or emergency assistance.

In the event of a serious medical emergency, staff will contact emergency services and notify the student's parent or guardian as soon as reasonably possible.
